the24thkeyMy greatest fannish accomplishment this past year was definitely posting catch a glimpse of the hollow world, my 101k love letter to both Lee Minho and JRPGs. I first started writing it in 2019 and it grew something of a life of its own, ending up much longer than originally intended, and looking back at it I am honestly amazed that I actually wrote all of that.The fandom is Stray Kids, the pairing is minsung, and the story is an adaptation of my favourite video game of them all, Persona 4. As it retells the full story there's really no knowledge of the game (or the band) required, but I was really happy that there were a couple readers who were familiar with it! The whole idea of it started with the fact that Jisung basically is my favourite character from the game, Hanamura Yosuke, and from there it only seemed right for me to have Minho as the protagonist, who is silent in the game but very much not silent in this fic.
I was glad to have the game stoyline to follow for the mystery and the world building, and it was a really interesting challenge to adapt the fighting system and the social aspects of the gameplay into writing. I whined a lot about the fight scenes, but I'm also very proud of how they turned out. The entire fic made me a much better writer, I think, and it showed me that I'm capable of things I'd never really imagined. For that and many other reasons I think it will remain very important and dear to me.
A challenge in a different way was the only one for me, a short and sweet BTOB fic that I wrote in two days, perhaps mostly to show myself that yes, I can in fact write short things! Considering that everything else I write tends to take at least half a year and a minimum of like, 10k, it was really satisfying to have an idea, write it down in one go and be done with it. Also I'm really happy with the soft atmosphere of this fic, as well as my characterization of these characters that were still very new to me at this point.
As something of a christmas present to myself I also managed to write another girlgroup fic at last: better watch your heart, a short Ryujin/Yeji fic inspired by ITZY's performance at MAMA 2021. Something I always struggle with is writing characters when I feel like I don't have a good grasp on some kind of pre-existing characterization (from other people's fic, mostly), but since the MAMA performance provided me with an AU that made it a lot easier. The atmosphere for this was also a lot different from what I usually write, so that was fun to get into. I've always had a soft spot for action and crime.

tribadism (GOT7, Jinyounng/Jaebom genderswap, just some really, really good femslash filth)

just let the feeling grow (BTS, Namjoon/Jin, my ITPE gift for avery and a homecoming of sorts to a pairing and a POV that I have sorely missed)
Additional multivoice projects I have been part of: Five Hour Energy, Dynamite (the filk!) and an episode of Beyond The Pod about kpop podfic.
