Listen, sometimes you really mean to write a post to summarize your year in fanworks but then you kind of procrastinate on it for, uh, an entire year? Yeah. It just be like that sometimes. So now you're getting 2023 and 2024 in one, which honestly works pretty well because I haven't been posting all that much in that time. 2023 was a bit more productive on the podfic side of things, 2024 was better in terms of fic I posted, it all evens out eventually.

2022 sure was a year, huh! I'm pretty late with my the round-up this time around, which might be down to the fact that I, uh, didn't post all that much last year? <.<'' I only posted 6 podfics (coming up to 2 hours and 46 minutes), my lowest output in years, even though it was my 10 year podficversary and I really meant to celebrate that somehow. So I had some feelings about that, but I'm also trying not to be too down on myself. I'm proud of everything I did post, and I have a couple big things in the works that will hopefully see the light of year this time around.

I also posted 5 fics this year, coming in at 23280 words. I'm really happy with that output, especially since I managed to write a couple shorter, more contained things. Of course I still have my regular, spiraling-out-of-control wips, but hopefully one or two of them will be done soon.

I recently saw someone link to an AO3 challenge/collection for fic DVD commentaries, something I remember fondly from fandoms past. It sounded a lot of fun, so I figured I'd give it a try on here! And if there's something I could spend hours talking about, it's my lezgeddit verse.

Lezgeddit verse is a series of four loosely connected fics in four different kpop fandoms (Day6, Got7, BTS and Stray Kids), and all of them are about stories about disaster lesbians and their friends. While I’m just a humble disaster bisexual who never got involved in any fanfiction-worthy hijinks, these stories are still deeply personal on some levels, and I'm very proud of all of them.

Without further ado, let's get into the commentary of the first fic in the series: lezgeddit.

Oh hi! 2020 sure was a year, huh. I did create a whole bunch of things I really liked though, so let's round them up.

First up, I wrote a whole lot of words over the last year, and I actually posted 5 ( fics! )

On to the ( podfic )

In 2019 I posted one fic, and it's one I'm really quite proud of: the things I've almost told you (got7, jjp genderswap), the direct sequel to lezgeddit that I somehow tricked myself into writing. It took me over a year to write it, and in some ways it ended up a very personal story. Honestly though, I just love my lesbian daughters and their circle of friends, and I'm incredibly proud of myself for sitting down and finishing this fic. I also wrote porn for the first time! Exciting stuff. :D

Now on to the podfic! I posted 14 of them in 2019, including my ITPE gifts.( yay podfic! )

I still don't think of myself as a writer, but sometimes when you enter a fandom you find yourself so overwhelmed with need for a specific trope that it pushes you to new and better things, I guess? ^^'' For me, that trope turned out to be always-a-girl fic, of which there just isn't enough in any kpop fandom. So I wrote some myself!

lezgeddit (DAY6, Jae/Brian) is my baby. My sweet, precious Disaster Lesbians.It started out as a one-off joke on twitter and then turned into something so much more - I can't even begin to tell you how important it is to me personally. I'm still a bit in awe of the fact that I wrote and finished this? But I'm so happy that I did.

I didn't really mean to write more for this 'verse, but I did kinda set up a sequel in the first part (because I just really needed to include a line making fun of JB's hair). I hven't finished that fic (Disaster LEsbians 2 : The Reckoning) just yet, though I'm working on it. hat I did finish and post instead was:

any resemblance unintended (BTS, namjin). I was thinking about how Jin is Gina Linetti, as one does, and then the Justine Seagull scene popped into my head while I was driving one day, and then this fic just...kinda happened. It's basically just 5 Times Jina Trolled Her Girlfriend Before She Finally Noticed, and it was a lot of fun to write about these Distinguished Lesbians.

And finally, I posted another vid for an obscure Asian action movie I watched on an airplane!

I'm still a bit sad that I couldn't find a higher quality video source, because this is a very good-looking movie! But I made do. This was the first time I used Vegas, which took some time getting used to, but I had a good time with it. :D
