the24thkeyPodfic from early 2016 to now, starting with everything I recorded for ITPE 2016.
in a mundane universe by Rethira (Dishonored, Corvo/The Outsider) My main recipient was Kess, so I was pumped to record some Dishonored fic. :D Also, fun fact, after we got our assignments at podfication I recorded this and some other treats while staying with Rhea. Podficcing Abroad! I got to do a menacing narration for this, which was tons of fun! (Well, I hope it's menacing. At the very least a bit creepy?). And every time I get to voice The Outsider is a good time.
A Most Precious Thing by Dream_edge (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Kurogane/Fai) The second main gift. At first I was a bit apprehensive about recording something in second person POV because I know some people don't like it? But personally I really like how it's used in this fic. Also it has a really great atmosphere, so I went for it. And I'm glad I did!
Hedge Your Bets by jibrailis (Ace Attorney, Miles/Phoenix) This was a treat for Dr_Fumbles_McStupid because we both love Ace Attorney! I love this fic so much, seriously. A comet causes people to get random superpowers, but some of them are more useful and more easily controlled than others. Edgeworth gets an....unusal one. ;D It's hilarious and puntastic, and I got to shout 'OBJECTION!' really loudly during recording, so that was cool. And I had a lot of fun adding the music to this because I am easily amused by my own jokes.
Restoration by the hoyden (xxxholic, Doumeki/Watanuki) If everything had worked out, this would have been perhaps the first ITPE gift to be sneakily recorded on the recipients own equipment, but alas, I had to rerecord it at home. Maybe on my next trip abroad. ;D A treat for Hananobira, in one of those fandoms that will just never let me go. And I'm quite happy with the cover for this one!
when the truth comes out by ingberry (Merlin, Merlin/Arthur) a treat for the lovely ItsADrizzit! <3 I have a fondness for fics based on the 'person A wakes up from surgery and temporarily forgets they're married to person B but thinks they're really pretty' premise.
Shrapnel by Tierfal (Fullmetal Alchemist, Roy/Ed) A treat for Rhea314. Tierfal writes excellent Roy/Ed dynamics, and I was excited to get to record one of their fics!
Moving on to non-ITPE projects from 2017:
They Have Taken Photographs of Our Footprints in the Dust by dharmaavocado (Star Wars Rogue One, Chirrut/Baze) I fell hard and fast for Rogue One and I recorded/edited this in record time. I'm really fond of it, the fic takes you to a very warm and kind place even while it's set in canon. The pronunciation of Star Wars vocabulary was tough, though!
Wheelhouse by recrudescence (James Bond, 00Q) recorded as a bday gift for fishpatrol. The cover turned out to be a surprise fav of mine! 00Q is one of those OTPs that's always there in the background for me, so I can go revisit and enjoy it whenever. And it's also very much linked to my friendship with fishpatrol for me, so this was nice to record.
Aaaaaand now we hit the point where I got into BTS fandom and it took over my life, haha. I wanted to do nothing but record Namjoon/Seokjin podfic for a solid couple of months and I'm still planning on recording more after ITPE 2017 is over. I love them, I love BTS in general, and I'm kinda hoping I can drag more people into this fandom with me? I have primers and fic recs, hit me up. ;D
SUP, SO SEDUCTIVE by allwyf (BTS, Namjoon/Jin) Possibly my best work ever? It's certainly up there, in any case. I don't record all that much porn, or at least not straight up PWPs. This, though? Porn. Really hot porn. Also kink! Who would've thought. Honestly though, this fic is hilarious and sweet and I was OBSESSED with the thought of recording it. I recorded and edited it in 2 days and I am beyond happy with how it turned out. The cover turned out easy as well, and I had so much fun adding the music. Seriously, I'm proud of it.
Repeat Offender by Merixcil (BTS, Namjin) is a cute, short story about a thing that I always think fandom exaggerated until it happens again: Namjoon's incredible clumsiness. He truly is the God of Destruction. And in this fic, Jin is the very, very annoyed nurse who has to deal with him.
before things come together by brightlight (BTS, Namjin) I started recording this very shortly after getting into the fandom because it is wonderful. Slow burn, friends to lovers, college AU. All good things, executed in a really comfortable, warm fic.
Aside from podfic I also, uh, wrote a fic? Very strange, really, I don't expect it to happen again. But I was inspired, and I wrote animal transformation fic!
It's Not Unusual (BTS, gen with a bit of namjin). People get turned into cats, shenanigans ensue, I chose to make a silly joke with the title. Read it if that sounds like something you might enjoy? :D
Also! I made a vid quite a while back that I'm really proud of. It's for a Chinese-Korean Action movie called Bounty Hunters that I watched on a plane, but all you really need to know is that there's pretty people, pretty scenery, and awesome action scenes. Here's the AO3 post, and here's the vid:
