2023 & 2024 fanworks round-up

the24thkeyListen, sometimes you really mean to write a post to summarize your year in fanworks but then you kind of procrastinate on it for, uh, an entire year? Yeah. It just be like that sometimes. So now you're getting 2023 and 2024 in one, which honestly works pretty well because I haven't been posting all that much in that time. 2023 was a bit more productive on the podfic side of things, 2024 was better in terms of fic I posted, it all evens out eventually.
Alright, let's get on with this.
Here is all the podfic I posted in 2023:
team work makes the dream work (Mamamoo, moonsun but mostly about Byulyi and her doggos) was recorded for bluedreaming as part of the kpodfic gift basket and gave me an excuse to use the Mamamoo song Waggy, which I appreciate.

the right kind of wrong (Dreamcatcher, Siyeon/Yubin, the one where Siyeon accidentally climbs into the wrong person's apartment), another one for kpodfic gift basket! I simply cannot pass up any opportunity to record girlgroup podfic even if I'm not super familiar with them.
for the kingdom (Ateez/Stray Kids/The Boyz, seongjoong, San/Hyunjin, fantasy AU inspired by the MAMA 2019 performance). This one was really important to me, I spent so much time working on it and I'm still really proud of it! Also ngl I love how the cover turned out.

50% crazy 100% headache (Stray Kids gen, kind of an assassin/gang au). This is the first part of a series that I still very much intend to continue! I actually have everything recorded, I just need to get around to editing stuff.
Dead Man Running (BTOB, Changsub/Sungjae, assassin au) Almost forgot about this one, whoops. It's a recording of my own fic, so I didn't make a separate post for it on the archive. BTOB is my main fandom but there's really just. Not a lot of stuff available to record, so sometimes I just record my own stuff.
the simple life (Baby Assassins gen). Another pod_together collaboration with resistate! This one's for a very niche but super fun Japanese action movie.
Touch (Haikyuu, Yaku/Lev, the one where Yaku records a volleyball theory for Lev). Ah yes, the podfic that took me SEVEN ACTUAL YEARS to complete. Finishing this was a major goal of mine and I was really glad that I was finally able to post it. Take this as your sign that it's never too late to get something done.
the moon is hanging on the jungle gym (Red Velvet Irene/Seulgi, witch/cult au). My pitch for EPF 23! Truly I will never get tired of fics inspired by the creepiness of Red Velvet's Peek-A-Boo MV.
let me in for a minute (Beyond Evil, Dongsik/Juwon, post-canon getting togetehr). An ITPE gift for Rhea <3. I was really glad I could record a Beyond Evil fic, this show will never let go of my brain or my heart.
Aditional 2023 multi-voices: texts from dispatch (911, Buck/Eddie), SMOF (Galaxy Quest), What's in the Dark? (original improvised work based on the game Werewolf)
2024 podfic:
I was a bit surprised to realize I barely posted any podfic last year, but the lovely Annapods and I had some collabs to share.
up in the sky (Dreamcatcher/KARD, Jiwoo/Yoohyun)
Soar (LOONA, Gowon/Hyeju)
i wanna be your morning baby (Seventeen, Mingyu/Wonwoo)
Freudian Slip (Ace Attorney, Phoenix/Miles, Kay and Sebastian meet Mr. Edgeworth's, uh, alibi.) And here we have my EPF pitch for 2024. This was so much fun to record, I'm still so happy with how it turned out and everyone's voices just worked so, so well.
Tooth and Nail (All For The Game, Neil/Andrew, Neil has to go under anaesthesia and it is not a fun time for anyone involved.) My only solo podfic I posted last year, but once again, it just be like that sometime. This was my ITPE gift for Aliteralgarbageheap.
Additional multi-voice: please do not the hamster (ZEROBASE1 Hanbin/Hao), the gang gets a mascot (Disco Elysium gen), Hiraeth (This is How You Lose the Time War, Red/Blue), variations on a theme (This is How You Lose the Time War, Red/Blue)
2024 fic:
If 2024 wasn't the greatest year for my personal podfic output, I did at least post a number of fics I'd been working on for quite some time! All in all I posted 26270 words over 4 fics.
duality is a gen-ish/pre-slash The King: Eternal Monarch story I was planning on writing even since I finished watching the drama and was left scratching my head because the time travel did not. Make. Any. Damn. Sense. So I had to fix it, obviously! This fic turned out quite different from my usual stuff, much more serious and less focused on dialogue. Ngl, I'm still pretty proud of the narrative structure in this one.
Attrition is the prequel to my BTOB fic where Changsub is Sungjae's manager, and this one is all about how they actually got together. But also I like to describe this fic as '7.9k of Changsub trying and failing to quit his job' because, well, that's what it is. I had a lot of this planned out ages ago but actually writing the emotional climax ended up being somewhat of a struggle. I'm glad I was able to figure it all out and post it!
leave you satisfied, another BTOB Changsub/Sungjae fic and a personal milestone because it's my first ever PWP! A real achievment, honestly. I spend so much time thinking about how weird these two are about each other, and especially how intense and possessive Sungjae is when it comes to Changsub, so really, what better way to convey this than porn? It's a constant struggle for me that no one in the western parts of the fandom seems to get the sexy intricacies of changjae, and sometimes you just need to be the change you want to see in the world, I guess.

Scenes from a Wedding is a BTOB/Apink crossover story that features the pairings Changsub/Sungjae and Chorong/Bomi and asks the question: why would you ask your crush to fake date you when you could instead fake date your very platonic best friend? Surely this won't backfire on you when your respective love interests are also attending the same event! Honestly I had so much fun with this one, the different POVs and the general ridiculousness of it all. Also I'm super happy whenever I can write girlgroup fic, so that's another win for me.
