Now that 2025 is over, let's have some fanwork stats! Looking at my spreadsheet now my output was actually pretty decent, all things considered, which is interesting because for most of the year I felt rather unproductive when it came to fanworks. I do think I definitely wrote less than I did in previous years, so let's start with the one fic I did post:

action/consequence is a silly little Stray Kids minsung fic that I started writing in 2020 and never quite seemed capable of finishing - I think I considered turning it into a pod_together project at some point but ended up not doing it. I kind of fell out of the fandom for a bit which I still feel rather wistful about. It was such an important fandom and source of joy for me for a good couple of years there and I do miss it. So I'm glad I found the inspiration to go back and finish at least one of my old minsung wips! There's a bunch of very silly jokes in this and it would've been a shame to not share them with the world, honestly.

I also posted 9 podfics over the last year, which isn't too bad. 6 of them were solo works, 3 were multi-voice. The total runtime comes up to 4 hours and 28 minutes. Notably there is only one kpop podfic among them, which is a surprising shift after the last, like, 8 years. On to the list!

General Tso's Golden Palace of Wisdom and Shrimp Fried Rice, an I Want To Go Home, Mike/Rudy podfic I recorded in-person with idella. It took me a while to get around to editing this one but I finally got it done! I'm rather pleased with the cover for this one tbh. It's kind of reminiscent of the cover for lyrics of an improvised love song insofar as they...both feature food...but also in that I like the layout/framing of them.

Sweater Weather is an aftg, Jean/Jeremy podfic I initially recorded for ITPE 2024 and thennnnnn kind of forgot about? Oops. I got it posted eventually! Another cover I quite like in its simplicity.

a perilous breakfast, SCTIR, Yoojin/Hyunjae. I got very into The S-Classes I Raised last year and at some point that summer I was like. If I don't sit down and record some podfic right now I will DIE, and thankfully there's quite a number of bp authors in this fandom who've written shorter fics! VERY pleased with this cover, which was apparently a theme last year? But also every time I look at it I realize I messed up in covering up the burn scar on Hyunjae's face lmao. What can you do.

Don't Ask What Are We is the second SCTIR Yoojin/Hyunjae podfic I recorded, and I think this is one is one of my best performances of the year. There's something about the writing style that really meshed well with my voice, and I ended up listening to it a lot. Also probably my best music use of the year.

L +  ratio + you stan a murderer. OKAY LISTEN. Buried Stars is a visual novel that I got obsessed with one random weekend and no one knows it which makes it impossible to rec this fic because it completely spoils the ending but trust me when I say it's incredible and incredibly funny. In a somewhat dark way because it's basically stan twitter ("phater" as it's called in-game) in the aftermath of a triple homicide. If you know anything at all about kpop survival shows or just stan twitter in general I think you can get a lot out of this story, and I loved recording it. It gave me a lot of feelings about social media fic, so the reader's notes got pretty long. Probably my best, most ambitious and most indulgent podfic of 2025.

all this love with nowhere to go
is a short Beyond Evil podfic that I recorded with tinyhappysun and Vorvayne at EPF 2024. My part in it is pretty small so I hesitated to count it, but I edited it so whatever. It's a mostly gen story about trans!Dongsik, very beautiful and haunting in its grief.

in the bag was this year's pod_together project: a Mamamoo story written by idella and recorded by myself. It's Yongsun/Byulyi (of course) and set in the same figure skating au as our previous BTOB pod_together in it to win it, and I was so happy to revisit this universe with my best girls this time. Also another banger of a cover, if I do say so myself.

A Needle, A Thread was my ITPE gift for lattice_frames! It's a Kamet/Costis The Queen's Thief story that I was honestly baffled to find no one had recorded before because it's written by jibrailis and there's blanket permission and everything. Hilariously it did turn out that two other people also recorded the same story, which means I got my first ever ITPE chain! I was so excited when I found out about that, seriously. I do very much enjoy my own reading as well, I think it turned out pretty good.

cover by peasina! <3

An Anniversary Like Any Other was the Ace Attorney multi-voice project I had the pleasure of organizing at the meetup in Paris, featuring the pairing Miles/Phoenix and an absolutely stellar cast! Seriously, I still can't get over how perfect shash was as Miles, but everyone else did such a great job as well. Some incredible scene-stealers in this very funny podfic, I'm so glad I pitched this story. <3

Additionally I participated in 6 multi-voice projects that were organized and edited by other people, all of which were recorded at last year's podfic meetup in Paris. And half of them were Formula 1 for some reason, which is still very funny to me personally. Here's all of them:

Penne for your Thoughts (Supergirl), the living and the dead (F1) metaphysical solipsism (F1), all creatures wild and tame (F1), Come let us meet in Paris (filk), Directorial Debut (murderbot).

And with that 2025 is officially a wrap! I have a bunch of exiting stuff in the works that I'm hoping to finish soon, both podfic and fic. Have a great year and see you soon! <3
